Meet Andy
Andy is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), and in his corporate career has led large HR functions within FTSE 250 businesses and within the not-for-profit sector. As such, he brings extensive first-hand experience of the challenges faced by line managers when managing performance and facilitating change within the teams they manage, both in the UK and across Europe. He also has a vast amount of experience in developing and running assessment centres to help multinational organisations appoint their senior team members.
Andy’s Investors in People Practitioner status allows him to support businesses who wish to gain the accreditation or continue to make improvements in their people practices to accelerate growth.
A little bit more about Andy
There are very few HR issues that Andy hasn’t come across in his successful career as a senior HR director and consultant. From working with small SME’s and local charities, to flying around the globe to carry out his work, it would be an understatement to call him hardworking. Early morning starts and short trips to Europe and back are not uncommon for Andy and he wouldn’t have it any other way. When not working, family time and holidays keep him happy and when Manchester United are winning and in a good place then life is complete for him.
Words that come to mind when thinking about what Andy brings to the team have to include….. super organised, dedicated, passionate, level-headed, wise and great company to be around!
On the rare occasion Andy isn’t working hard you will probably find him supporting Manchester United, having been an avid fan since his younger days growing up in the North West.
Meet Caroline
Caroline is a CIPD qualified HR professional with 35 years’ experience and a proven ability to deliver high quality HR support. She has a wealth of experience in handling complicated employee relations cases and has been highly praised for her professionalism when dealing with difficult employee situations. She has worked with a range of clients including high street banks, large retail chains and local authorities, and not for profit organisations.
She also brings significant expertise in terms of practical HR advice she provides to clients of Holgate HR.
A little bit more about Caroline
Caroline loves her role and the variety it brings when working such a huge range of clients. She has threatened one day to write a book on the joys of being a HR consultant and handling some of the interesting cases she has worked with.
She likes to think she has found the perfect balance of work hard, play harder and would be lying if we said she didn’t reward herself now and again! Outside of Holgate HR, family are incredibly important to Caroline. Anyone she regularly speaks to will know about her two daughters who she is incredibly proud of – even though they are not pursuing a career in HR and stepping into the family business.
